If you are from Soweto, you have probably been to these two streets. For those of you who do not know, Immink Drive is located in Diepkloof & Vilakazi Street, located in Orlando West.
Both these streets are amoungst the most prolific streets in the whole of Soweto. So before we get too ahead of ourselves, we are only talking about the vibes of these places.

1) Vilakazi Street

So we all know and love Vilakazi Street as the No.1 tourist destination of Soweto but we are not focused on the sculptures and art - NO!, that's not what we here for. We are mainly focused on the resturants housed by the street from Sakhumzi and Vuyos, all the way to Resturant Vilakazi and The Box.

Vilakazi Street houses some of the best vibes in... well all of Mzansi in general. The atmosphere is beautiful and almost tangible. The people are beautiful, vibrant and elegent (well not in a black tie event kind of elegent but everyday streetwear sophistication). Vilakazi Street is to some considered the as the high end market of Soweto. It's chilled vibes and this euphoric aura create an environment like no other.

The vibe is generally relaxed and is very chilled. The ambience of Vilakazi is created by the mixture of the arts, tourists, venues and a dash of the Soweto lifestyle. The beautiful ladies that usually frequent the venues housed in Vilakazi would have an article of their own, the gents too - everything found here is a breath of fresh air.
1) Immink Drive

The Long street of Diepkloof, Immink Drive is now a brand in its own. Immink houses from venues like Establishment and Danish Lounge to Sochilla, Chilli Pepper and many more. The energy in this street is insane. Immink has a bit of that 'skrr skrr' feel and is the home of the cool kids. Immink Drive is intoxicating, electric and very paced. Its the ultimate hangout - hubblies, good food and dope fashion is generally the order of the day.

There's this vibe throughout the week and ever more so in the weekend, this street is always alive and buzzing. The new age kasi lifestyle could not be personified more than Immink Drive. This mindset mixed with the style creates an environment that accommodates everyone from ama 2000 to celebs to that ordinary guy that works at Neotel, no is out of place at Immink - both young and old. The vibe and energy attracts extroverts and cool people in general.

Immink Drive feels like it's a block party. All the different venues create a synergy throughout the whole street. The people always look fly and the ladies in particular, DROP DEAD GORGEOUS! Immink is like a lovechild between Newtown and Braamfontain that grew up ekasi. It is a place where different worlds, walks of life and styles fuse to create something different, unique - FRESH!
